Overview

Monarch Canyon is a nice, 1.1-mile hike down a rugged canyon to a spring in the Death Valley Wilderness Area. The route passes several historical mining structures along the way, including what appears to be the remains of a cabin that was under construction.

A foundation was started, and bundles of wood look as though they had just been dropped off the side of a pack mule. They even planned to install a porcelain toilet.

Presented here are photos of Monarch Cabin. For a detailed description of the route, including directions, maps, GPS coordinates, and photos, see Monarch Canyon.
